Wearable Blankets 2 Day Sale

Wearable blankets have been around for awhile, but these luxury wearable blankets from Bundle Up Joy are a step above the rest. They are available in a long sleeved version for travel and a sleeveless version for sleeping. These beautiful garments are made of lovely brocades and are complete with an innovative car seat buckle hole which secures your baby to any baby car seat or stroller when you are on the go. They have convenient wrap-around zipper that curves along the entire side and bottom and to make diaper changes quick and easy. And most importantly they are made of high quality, machine washable fabrics. One size fits newborn to 6 months, they are 27" long.

The travel version is perfect for our current cold weather with an attached hood that protects your baby's head from the cold, wind, rain or harmful rays of the sun. Pull-back mittens protect their tiny fingers and allows the baby's hands to be slipped inside or out. Be sure to check them out on our website, they are 50% off for the next two days.

The sleeveless version is perfect for sleeping to wear as a blanket over pajamas. No more kicking off those blankets and safer for baby than traditional blankets that get bunched up in the crib. They are available in either 100% cotton for warmer weather or the beautiful brocades like the long sleeve version. For year round use you can simply add layers for warmth.

Baby It's Cold Outside !

Keep those kids warm and cover there arms and legs with Baby Legs!

These leg and arm warmers are the most adorable idea and they are incredibly versatile in their function. Obviously the first thing that comes to mind is covering the babies legs when they are learning to crawl, but they are so much more than that. They are perfect for layering when the weather is chilly in the morning and warmer as the day goes on, you don't have to change the whole outfit, you can just slip them off. They are excellent for making diaper changes easier, and if you are dealing with a nasty rash, you can go diaper free for a short time and still have the legs covered.

How about covering your child's arms in the movie theater. Sometimes it just gets chilly in there and you don't want to carry a jacket around in the summer.

Or, how about a simple fashion statement, cover up those soccer chin guards, wear them with your favorite boots and skirts! The creators of Baby Legs are simply genius.

At Stylish Tots we are giving away a pair of Baby Legs every Friday. Just sign up for our newsletter and you are entered in our weekly drawing! Don't miss out, they are just so fun you have to try them!

Protect Our Children

Well of course we all want to protect our children from anything dangerous, but the United States Congress has inadvertently passed a law that will possibly jeopardize the manufacture of some of the safest products out there. In an effort to regulate the amount of lead and pthalates (a component in some plastics), Congress decided to require testing on all products intended for use by children 12 and under. They even went so far as to make it retroactive! Unfortunately the testing required must be done on the final product, not the components, and will cost up to $4000 per item. For large multi-national manufactures, this is no problem. But for small, usually handmade, product lines, this is cost prohibitive and may force many of the mom and pop companies to close. This again is for all products intended for use by children 12 and under, not just toys. Custom clothing for children will become a thing of the past. Handmade toys will become extinct and second hand shops will have to destroy all of this old, uncertified merchandise.

As you can see this has implications so far reaching that we must speak up. Please consider writing your congressperson and senator to see if we can reach a compromise. Possibly small businesses could send proof that the products they are using in the manufacture of the end items are lead free. There simply has to be a way to save these handmade products and ensure that the backbone of our economy, small businesses, doesn't suffer a major blow. Of course we want to ensure that our children have safe products, but this is not the way.

Stylish Pups

Even dogs can be sophisticated. Kelly B Rightsell has several adorable framed giclee prints of dogs in their finest business attire. What a fun way to decorate your child's room with whimsical art. Harrison is my favorite in his yellow shirt and blue tie, he is quite distinguished and will certainly be a favorite for your child.

Introducing your child to art at an early age will give them an appreciation for some of the finer things in life. Check out all of the new artwork at Stylish Tots for lots of ideas to enhance your children's decor.

Born To Be Modern

We introduced a new modern crib bedding set today at Stylish Tots. It is so chic and I just love the black and white design in the fabric. This set is called Moderno from Bebe Chic. It combines all of the clean style from a black and white crib bedding set with pops of color from the apple green accents. How often do you see a black crib sheet? That is too cool! From the cute little monkey that will soon become your child's favorite toy, to the stylish accent pillows in all shapes, the accessories really help establish the design sense that Bebe Chic developed in this modern nursery decor. If your style is modern or you love black and white as much as I do, be sure to check it out at http://www.stylishtots.com/!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, Thanksgiving Day is finally here and we are so ready to cook these turkeys and sit down to a wonderful family feast. With 6 children (all but one will be there), several spouses and 5 grandchildren and a couple of great-grandparents we will have a total of 14 for dinner. We will actually be going to our son and daugter-in-laws house and everyone is bringing something.

We have so much to be personally thankful for this year, as we have had two new grandsons born, Charlton and Connor. Connor's picture is in the last post, so here is Charlie. Is he too cute!
And we have all made it through another year in health. And we have the love and joy of such a wonderful family. God has truly blessed our lives.
Professionally I have started two new websites with Jennifer, my daughter, and I have to say the best part is working with her to develop those sites. Of course I have to put a plug in for those sites :) Stylish Home and Gift for unique home decor and gifts, and Stylish Tots for children's and nursery decor and gifts.
May all of you be blessed throughout the year and have many things to be thankful for, as we are.

A New Style

I am so excited to create this blog to discuss all of the stylish things available for babies and children today. I would love to hear from everyone who has found great products for babies that start them all off with great style. Please let me hear from anyone who has found any stylish products for little ones. I will look forward to discussing all that I find in the weeks and months to come.

This is Connor, my youngest grandson, at his baptismal reception. I have to brag that I made the bib he is wearing with the appliqued 'stacked crosses' on it. I love to sew and create beautiful things, especially for kids. I hope to share more of those gifts along the way. Yes, Connor is cuter than the bib. Of course, I am the grandma, so I can be a little prejudice.
